Description :

Our client in the State College is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to manage the staff and operation of the front of the house. The successful candidate will be responsible for the ongoing relationships with our customers, implementation of the restaurant's policies and procedures, and will participate in achieving revenue objectives. This position will be primarily responsible for the overall supervision of service and operations in the dining room and bar operations and for coordinating with the chef and kitchen operations.


Candidates should have hospitality experience, excellent communication skills, and the organization to manage several tasks at once.


  • Maintain and continuously improve a high level of customer service
  • Supervise, motivate, and train staff
  • Work closely with management to meet revenue objectives
  • Implement appropriate strategies to resolve adverse trends and improve sales
  • Follow company policies and procedures regarding the handling of cash, property, products and equipment
  • Audit inventory levels to ensure product availability, and order products as necessary
  • Oversee technology and administrative systems ; oversee the upkeep and maintenance of restaurant.
  • Ensure all food safety procedures are strictly adhered to according to sanitary regulations; ensure all PA Liquor Control laws and procedures are strictly adhered to.
Requirements :


  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Exceptional organization and leadership skills
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Understanding of fine dining foods, beverages and service
  • Prior experience in the restaurant industry and in supervising a restaurant
    • Must have knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages
    • Experience with managing a restaurant staff
    • Knowledge and enforcement of all applicable alcohol and bartender laws & practices
    • Strong familiarization with food and beverage financial systems and controls
    • Computer & administrative skills, email, web, Word, Excel, POS systems
